Hi my friends! I hope you’re having a good day! I am excited to share my 2026 Valentine’s Day “Christmas Tree” with you today! Last year was my first time creating a Valentine’s Day tree but I was inspired to try it. I bought two Dollar Tree‘s mini tabletop Christmas trees and put them side by side to make one fuller tree. I have the green color, but I’ve seen other makers use DT’s pink trees too.
Putting it All Together
Also, I bought a box of the pine tree wire twists to make the tree even more fuller. You can also get these from Amazon, they’re terrific to use on a sparse tree, I’ll have a link to them below.
Last year I placed my tree in a basket, but this year I decided to use a vintage white milk jug/vase that I got from my local thrift store and I think the vessel really brings the tree decor to the next level!
I used pink and white florals (also from DT), a couple of felt heart ornaments, ‘Christmasy’ red ornaments, bows in pinks and reds and topped with my “Love” die cut from last year. I LOVE it! It brings me joy everyday when I come into my craftroom/sewing room and see this luscious tree staring at me!

Next to my tree is a Valentine’s day card I made last year. I made a rosette flower from cardstock that I added a button on top of. The bows were all made from different types of ribbons and I just clipped them around the tree. I used my ribbon maker which makes bows so easy!
You can also see some of the vase’s texture that I really love. And, my florals are different shades of pink as well, my favorite color! I displayed my tree on top of a vintage box bought again from my local thrift store and I love the scripture on it from Matthew 19:26, “With God, all things are possible”. I had to have this beautiful box, I use it to house little handmade items for gift giving.
I opted for a tabletop tree because it is easier to decorate and I can change it for all the seasons and holidays I celebrate! And, finally, I added a bit of extra decor to sit with my tree, I had this XOXO cup for many years so I placed some wonder clips in it so it’s functional as well as beautiful to look at! Added a few felt hearts too 😀

Do you put up a Valentine’s day tree?, tabletop or full length? Let me know in the comments!
