Hi, I’m Kim! Welcome to my little Happy Place!

If you love all things soft, cozy, stitched and handmade, then you’ve wandered into the right place. I’m a crocheter, knitter, felt-stitching enthusiast and a proudly blooming Novice Sewist learning new skills one project (and one tangled thread) at a time!

I’m also a cardmaker and paper crafter — still happily crafting with paper behind the scenes — but this space is devoted to my fabric-and-fiber adventures.

Here is where I share my creative wins, “learning moments,” and the simple joy of making beautiful things with my hands. Whether it’s yarn, felt, fabric or a stitch that makes me do a tiny victory wiggle, you’ll find it tucked into these pages.

Pour something warm, get comfy and enjoy this journey with me! 💛

My latest hobby and one I’ve become hooked on! No pun intended! I’m documenting my journey to learn to sew, follow me on my path and see what I’ve been making!

I just picked up this die set last week, it's been out for awhile and I'm so glad Simon still has this in stock. I'm making ornaments for the holidays and I definitely want to add this and more plush dies to the collection. I chose dark brown felt for his body and the thread I'm using is Sulky Sampler Neutrals Cotton Thread. I love this 2-strand thread to stitch with, but DMC thread works just as well. For one of the deer, I used red pom poms that I bought from Dollar Tree and the other I used the nose die from the set. I also got hipped onto Aleene's Tacky Glue from Nichol Sphor's YT video where she was making felt ornaments. I had been looking for a good liquid fabric glue for ages and I've tried different ones but with mixed results. I really like the Aleene's brand and so I used it on the deer's antlers, spots, the nose and its ears. I let it completely dry before filling it with some polyfil. They turned so cute! I die cut enough to make 4 sets of deers and I have a great idea for the last two so can't wait to get started on them. Some of the links to the products I used are affiliate links which means that when you shop with them, I’ll receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Your support helps me run my small crafty business.
