Home Decor: Pillows for Christmas 2025

Home Decor: Pillows for Christmas 2025

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hi my friends! Happy Day! I’m sharing these beautiful pillows I finished Friday night for Christmas 2025. This will be our 2nd Christmas in our home. If you’ve been around awhile, you’ll know hubby and I bought our 1st home at ages 60+! Never too late! If you want a lil back story about our house journey, click here!

Last year, we are still getting accumulated in the new space so I didn’t make a lot but this year I’ve had time and because I also retired this year. So, early this year I bought two types of fabric from the local thrift store that has pretty poinsettias all over them. I knew they’d be perfect for the Holiday!

Getting Started

So, I used a very easy pattern on YT and here’s the link to that tutorial in case you’re interested. It is the very first project the content creator made. You can whip these pillows up in no time! You just need to start off with 2 perfect squares of fabric. Check out my other posts as I’ve made more of these pillows!

For 2 of my pillows, I cut my fabric to 20″ x 20″. I had a little leftover fabric to make a smaller pillow that’s about 18″ x 18″. This list is a few of extras I needed for my pillows:

  1. Red Chiffon ribbon
  2. Poly-fil
  3. Matching buttons

I’ll have the links to these products below! Look at the pics how they turned out!

After all the sewing and stuffing, I used the ribbon to tie it around each pillow almost like a present! Then I hand stitched the buttons in the centers to cinch the pillows up a bit. I LOVE how these look on our couch!

Yesterday, I started putting a little bit of Christmas decor up, but not too much cause I’m still in the Fall/Thanksgiving mode.

Have you started decorating for Christmas? I’d love to know! Thanks for Reading!
