Testing New Yarn with my Knitting Needles

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hi friends, it’s great to be back crocheting again without pain. However, knitting is another story. I haven’t been able to knit like I did before my injury and so right now, I can knit about 4 or 5 rows before I have to put the needles down.

This is an updated post

But even so, I purchased some yarn (Crest Preciosa Tonal) from Knit Picks some years ago before the injury to test out and so I pulled out my go bamboo knitting needles. I love this yarn so much that instead of knitting a swatch, I just kept knitting and knitting to feel how stretchy and soft the yarn is.

I really like the teal blue color and all I’m doing is knitting straight across. To start, I did the long tail cast on, it’s my favorite to start all my knit projects. I cast on 30 stitches and on row 2, I slipped the first stitch and then knitted across and repeated that.

I love cushy fabric that stretches, this yarn would be great for hats, scarves and sweaters too. I only bought 1 skein. You can learn more about my project in this post. I just wanted to re-post it to simply say I’m still at it! LOL 😀
